What is Direct Billing?

Direct billing means the clinic handles the claim process with your insurance provider on your behalf. After your treatment, we submit the claim directly to your extended health plan. You only pay what your plan does not cover, such as deductibles or services not included in your coverage.

How Direct Billing Works

• Provide Your Insurance Details in Advance
  •  When you book an appointment, please ensure your extended health plan information is added to your file so we can bill your provider directly.
• Keep a Credit Card on File 
  • We require a credit card on file. This is only used if your insurance doesn’t cover the appointment, has a deductible, or denies a claim. You remain responsible for any portion not covered by your plan.
• Treatment & Direct Billing
  • After your appointment, the clinic will attempt to bill your insurer directly for all covered services.
• Patient Responsibility
  •  If your insurer does not cover a service, only partially covers it, or your plan does not allow direct billing, you will be responsible for the remaining balance. You may then submit a receipt to your insurer yourself if needed.

Important Things to Know

• Coverage Varies by Plan — Not all services are eligible for direct billing. For example, orthotics are not covered.
• Know Your Plan — You are responsible for understanding your plan’s limits, deductibles, and coverage levels. The clinic does not have access to your full insurance details.
• Direct Billing Exceptions — If direct billing isn’t possible for your plan or insurer, payment at the time of service will be required. We will provide a receipt for you to submit for reimbursement.
• Check with Your Insurer — It’s always a good idea to confirm with your insurance provider whether your services are eligible for direct billing.
