Michelle Kegaly, R.M.T.

Graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1996.

Michelle is the owner of the New West Wellness Centre. She has been working since 1997 and during her time as a therapist she has focused on the rehabilitative side of treatment with patients that have been in motor vehicle accidents (ICBC). Her goal is to work with her patients through assessment, treatment and home care to achieve the most pain free living possible. She continues to research new and upcoming health issues and participates in continuing education in the Massage Therapy field.

 

Harold Webster, Acupuncturist

Harry’s interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) comes through years of exploring the use of qi (pronounced “chee”) in the martial arts as a student, and for 8 years as a teacher in Goju Ryu Karate. Qi is the energy of the body, which is the functional energy of all our body processes, whether they are emotional, mental or physical.

Harry began to Shift his focus to the study of qi and healing. He took his training in Vancouver at PCU College of Holistic Medicine, being lucky enough to study under teachers from mainland China with generations of experience.

As a licensed acupuncturist with a background in herbal studies, he has also concentrated on the use of Tui Na, which is a form of Chinese massage based on TCM principals and acupressure points. Harry is known for his 100% dedication. He will do everything possible within his knowledge to help his patients feel better.

Katie Craig, R.M.T.

Graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2006.

Katie was married in 2006 to her highschool sweet heart. At that time she and her husband moved into New Westminster. Katie is an avid runner, and has enjoyed the park life New Westminster has to offer. She worked at a spa for 2 years before deciding to change to a clinic in her neighborhood. She enjoys the challenge of working with a variety of patients and pathologies. Katie is passionate about seeing people benefit from massage therapy through different techniques such as Trigger Point and Fascial Release therapy.

Casey Craig, R.M.T.

Graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2009.

Casey is a competitive runner who has completed a full marathon and several half marathons. He was able to combine is love for athletics and massage therapy as he volunteered at 2 half ironman’s, 1 marathon, and 3 other charity athletic events while he went through school. Casey has witnessed the benefits of massage in his own training program, and is passionate about promoting massage therapy. Casey also has a love for traveling, and has traveled to 6 continents, and would like to continue to see the world with his wife Katie Craig, who is also a registered massage therapist at the Centre.

 

Christine Campbell, R.M.T.

Graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1996.

Christine has been working as a Registered massage therapist for 11 years. She has recently become a proud mom of twins and understands the daily stresses of what it takes to be a Mother.She can also sympathize with new mom’s regarding the back strain and pain of learning new ways to sleep, breast feed and carry the little ones. Christine truly understands and can get you feeling better so you can enjoy every loving moment with your baby.

Kurtis Thygesen, R.M.T.

Graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2009.

Kurtis is happy to be a recent graduate, and after many years of preparing
for school and then training to become a therapist he is now registered and
a new member to the profession of Massage Therapy. He enjoys working with
others to help them become healthier happier people. He creates their
treatment and makes goals to suit their need in the journey of life. In his
treatments he aims at treating the whole person. This is why he enjoys the
challenge in treating patients with Fibromyalgia Syndrome. A condition of
which his mother has stuggled with for years. He has also done a case study
on Fibromyalgia (PDF)
while he was in school, it yielded great results for the
patient and was also the second place winner of the MTABC 2008 case study
awards. Kurtis is excited to be joining the New West Wellness team, and is
looking forward to using his skills as an RMT for the good of others.

Rhiannon Dawson, R.M.T.

Graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2007.

Rhiannon Dawson, RMT, has been interested in the practice of massage therapy for years. She was the student representative for her graduating class and was involved in many volunteer activities at school showing her passion to be involved in the community around her. She has a black belt in Daitoryu Aiki Jujutsu, which she earned while teaching in Japan.

Rhiannon has a passion for learning, both for it’s own interest and as a way to always be improving her skills as a therapist. She has a calm and caring personality and is dedicated to doing the best for her patients.

Rhiannon is currently away pursuing her love of travel, on a one year working holiday to Ireland.

Renée Caines, R.M.T.

Graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2006.

Renée Caines, RMT has been fascinated with the internal and external workings of the human body as far back as she can remember. Renée graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in December 2006 with the Joe Kozak award representing integrity, perseverance, passionate heart and a caring soul. She has a Brown Belt in Hisho Can-ryu Jui Jitsu which shows her discipline and strength. She also enjoys yoga, running, and a fast paced game of badminton. As a member of the Massage Therapy Association of BC and the College of Massage Therapists of BC, Renée continues her massage therapy education with seminars and lectures to keep her therapeutic skills current. Renée plans to further her medical education and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Health Sciences.Renée is highly energetic and has a positive attitude. She has a natural ease around co-workers and patients which creates a great atmosphere and encourages impressive results.

Renée is very focused during your massage treatment; she is most often quiet allowing you time to focus on your breathing which gives you time to relax and get full benefit from your treatment. Anyone who meets this young lady is immediately drawn to her bubbly yet empathetic personality.

Sandra Lohman, BSc, DC

Dr. Lohman began her pre-chiropractic education at Simon Fraser University where she studied the basic sciences such as chemistry, physics, and biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses.

After completing her study there, she began her studies at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas where she concurrently completed her Bachelor of Science degree. During her three years at Parker, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Parker College Public Clinic. Upon graduation Dr. Lohman traveled to Bali, Indonesia to participate in a mission trip to serve the underprivileged. During this time she adjusted over 200 people and felt blessed to be a part of the mission.

Dr. Lohman was introduced to Network Spinal Analysis as a chiropractic student. When she experienced the work and discovered for herself the greater degree of peace, ease, and wellness in her own body, she decided to add this advanced form of neurological care to her skill set to provide the best possible care for her patients. As a native of the lower mainland, Dr. Lohman was excited to return home to establish her practice.

Dr. Lohman believes strongly in the body’s innate ability to heal itself. Her goal is to provide safe, effective chiropractic care to people of all ages in a comfortable and relaxing environment.

Dr. Lohman is licensed by the British Columbia College of Chiropractors and is a member of the British Columbia Chiropractic Association as well as the Canadian Chiropractic Association.
